The Phoenix, Rising
If we are eternal beings as Souls
If we are reincarnated if we try
Does it matter if the world burns?
Does it matter if hope dies?
The only constant in creation is change
The truest truth is in your Soul
Does it matter if something great falls
Does it matter all our anguished cries
It’s the moment before great change now
It’s the moment before birth comes
A moment of creation and destruction
The old guard dies and falls to dust
There’s on offer for my heart to feel, heavy
But I only wish to be in song
There’s an offer to be torn to pieces
From those breaking, fearful and forlorn
Riding the energy of creation
Why do I care so much and long for more
Dedicated to something thriving in my heart
Dedicated to my heart’s song
I certainly don’t know the answers
We face the vast and dark and great unknown
Off in the distance, though, a light shines
In the dark I see a lighted home
Through the death and the destruction
From decomposition to renewal
The only constant is the love within me
Muscles beating, light pulsing
My Soul Divine
It is my fuel ❤️
It drives the phoenix from the ashes
Wresting itself from structures gone long ago
The birds’ heart pounding pulsing thrashing
Rising in fiery glory, victory and triumph
Rising in triumph
Of the Soul
